Dual-Cast FAQ

Our Dual-Cast Manufacturing Process

At Talon Games, we produce the majority of our miniatures in the USA with precision and care using our Dual-Cast manufacturing process. This innovative approach combines thermal plastic injection molding with resin 3D printing, allowing us to take advantage of the strengths of both methods.

Why Dual-Cast?

By blending these two manufacturing techniques, we create miniatures that are:

  • Highly Detailed – Both injection molding and resin printing capture even the smallest panel lines, armor plating, and mechanical features.

  • Durable & Flexible – Our chosen materials have enough give to reduce breakage without sacrificing crisp detail.

  • Consistently High Quality – Injection molding ensures uniformity across production runs, while 3D printing gives us the flexibility to create unique or complex parts.

Commercial-Grade Technology

We don’t cut corners when it comes to quality. Our production process uses high-end, commercial-grade 3D printers and a specialized resin formulation designed specifically for miniature production. The result is a superior product that paints beautifully and holds up to the rigors of tabletop play.

The Result

Each miniature that leaves our shop is the product of careful design, premium materials, and a process that combines the best of traditional and modern manufacturing. This means you get miniatures that are ready for the table, whether you’re a collector, a painter, or a competitive player.
